~ Tara: December ~
Tara became involved in this project because she knows many of the people involved, including Heather. She is an Australian by origin, but now lives and works in the UK.
As someone who loves living as healthy a life as she can, Tara structures her life so that she can spend as much time as possible outdoors. She eats well, lives well, and hopes to goodness that her preferred lifestyle might mean that she is not one of those unfortunate enough to have to face cancer. In the meantime, Tara feels that if taking her clothes off can help someone who is facing a battle against cancer, it's worthwhile.
Tara works as a scientist and gets to go to some pretty cool places in the course of her work. She is one of the lucky people who jump out of bed in the morning to rush to work because they love it.
There's a lot Tara is passionate about: reading, nature, feeling good both for and within oneself, and - most importantly - cooking. Tara lives to cook. She stands for people being as happy as they can, with minimal negative outside intervention from people or governments. She believes you have to be proactive in order to have a happy life, and she watches Heather doing exactly that. Tara admires Heather for her approach to having cancer, to living as much as possible as she did before being diagnosed. Tara believes you can't let misfortune make your life worse.
Tara is also an iconoclast. She is not one to be constrained by silly societal mores that make little sense. If one lives their life and is a good person, life will be good to them in return. In her experience, it works. And she's willing to stand up for things she believes in, which is exactly what she has done here.
